Sorry, haven't finished building this, or testing Flatcam. Making pull request early as I may have not have time to come back to this for a few while. But might make it easier for you to update dependencies :-)

removed back port LRU; is it still needed?
checked all versions against PyPI.org and made updates where needed

This now builds and installs.

I needed explicit "--with-python" to get PyQt4 installed in my brew Python 3. It may be something to do with my environment.

It doesn't run though.

For some reason in /usr/local/Cellar/flatcam/8.5.0/libexec/lib

ToolDblSided.py
ToolMeasurement.py
ToolTransform.py

and possibly others are missing.
