Tried the Pre version , without succes #3

Hi,

Just last week I asked on your Youtube movie on the pifacecad ,when this patched package of LCDproc would be available. I tried the GIT version you pointed me to Howerver when I start LCD proc I get the following error

Apr 19 10:14:19 raspberrypi LCDd: hd44780: unknown ConnectionType: pifacecad Apr 19 10:14:19 raspberrypi LCDd: Driver [hd44780] init failed, return code -1 Apr 19 10:14:19 raspberrypi LCDd: Could not load driver hd44780 Apr 19 10:14:19 raspberrypi LCDd: There is no output driver Apr 19 10:14:19 raspberrypi LCDd: Critical error while initializing, abort.

As far as I can see it doesn't recognize te pifacecad connection type, is the something "special" I need to do that I'm missing to get this connection type included in the build ?

Just couldn't wait till official release :-)

This version isn't the final version that went into LCDproc, there were some extra changes Markus and I made.

Try the pre-version available from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/lcdproc/files/lcdproc/0.5.7/

Or wait until the official release which was scheduled for 20/04/2014! (It's frustrating, I know! :p).

Also, did you use the --enable-drivers=HD44780 flag when compiling? Check out the INSTALL file in LCDproc.
