Hello @bistory

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a datasheet for the 3 steppers used for the Z axis. The reference is 42SHDC3045Z-16BD.

I really appreciate you sharing your discoveries and work with the Twotrees SK1. I'd like to make a small contribution of my own. I reached out to a representative from the Usongshine Store on Aliexpress to inquire about the specifications of the 42SHDC3045Z-16BD stepper motor and received the following information:

Dear friend, these are the parameters our store can provide, please check (we have 13 items in stock).

Number of phases: 2 Rated voltage: DC 4.5V Phase resistance (20℃): 3.0x(1±15%)2/phase Holding torque: ≥540 nM.m Direction (from the axis): A-AB-B-clockwise Maximum no-load running frequency: ≥1900 PPS Electrical strength: AC600V/1mA/1S Moment of inertia: 57.3 8.cm³ Step angle: 1.8°±0.09° Rated current: DC 1.5 A/phase Phase inductance (1KHz): 7.3x(1±20%)mH/phase Positioning torque: 15 mN.m REF. Maximum no-load starting frequency: ≥1500 PPS Insulation resistance: ≥100 MΩ(DC 500V) Insulation grade: Class B Mass: 255 G REF.

Thanks, are you sure they are the correct references ? Unfortunately, I don't have the printer anymore (there are so many better ones out there) so I'm not able to test if it's working with tmc_autotune :-)

Hi Thomas!

Hello Thomas,

thank you for your reply! Regarding the specifications for the motors, I reached out to the official Usongshine Store on AliExpress and waited for their representative to get in touch with their supplier to provide the data. I admit that trusting Chinese manufacturers' data always comes with a hint of skepticism. However, unless you see any glaring inconsistencies or red flags in the provided information, I am inclined to believe them.

Would it be possible for you to create a configuration and upload to the repository (possibly marked as "untested") for these motors based on the parameters I shared? Or would such an effort necessarily require access to the printer itself?

Unfortunately, I don't have the printer anymore (there are so many better ones out there) so I'm not able to test if it's working with tmc_autotune :-)

I am genuinely disappointed to know that you no longer have your printer! I was thrilled to discover your work as an active and passionate enthusiast who not only explored but also "hacked" the TwoTrees SK1. Your video review, detailed instructions, and even the alternate firmware image were absolutely invaluable to me. They were literally a breath of fresh air, pointing me in the right direction and showing what to look into and where to start digging. Unfortunately, given the relative novelty of this printer, the community around it is still in its infancy.

By the way, do you know of any communities or enthusiast groups specifically focusing on this model or on TwoTrees CoreXY printers in general?

As a sort of "farewell encore," would you mind sharing a bit more about your experience? Specifically:

Your insights would be tremendously valuable not just to me but to anyone else who might venture into modifying and enhancing this printer.

Thanks again for your time and all the work you've shared so far!
