Uneven brightness and brightness control #18

I use sway version 1.7 and having a shade of about 5% brightness on screen (such as in this video) with no ICC profile or other adjustments applied, makes a large chunk of the center-right of the screen a lot darker than the rest, similar to reported issues of "vertical banding" with other devices' OLED screens.

On Windows 11, the same video looks noticeably brighter with no issues and lowering the screen brightness doesn't make it appear.

This wouldn't be a problem during normal use but, using wl-gammarelay-rs for brightness control (specifically the UpdateBrightness function), a lot of applications' dark themes' background color reach the brightness values where this happens.

Does Gnome have the same issue?
