Microphone is very quiet / low volume #6

Kernel 6.1rc1 has resolved the lack of microphone detection, but it seems the recording levels are super low.

I'm trying to use pipewire and a bit unfamiliar with it, so haven't yet figured out how to configure boosting and so on as of writing, and also because the speakers are broken it's a bit inconvenient to check audio recording quality.

I wanted to hear from others, what their experience / configuration for the microphone is like.

have a look at this reddit post, i think this is a general issue of the laptop not related directly to linux. I've tested on windows that it works just fine with volume (i guess), maybe there's something else that will be fixed with bios update.
