Ton Weekly Digest with Tim.0x - A Newsletter #604

Closed Tim00x closed 3 months ago

Tim00x commented 4 months ago

Summary

This is a newsletter created by me - Tim.0x to help newly onboarded users easily get in touch with weekly events happening in the TON ecosystem.

This newsletter covers in-depth DeFi guidelines on how DeFi protocols can be used and opportunities present in these protocols, as well as trending and pertinent ecosystem news covering Dapp performances and how-to guides on these protocols.

Context

Why Start Ton Weekly Digest with Tim.0x?

The Ton blockchain based on Google Trend relative to my region is much more known by Russians before rolling out to other foreign-speaking countries than English-speaking countries.

In this vein, as developments and attention are garnered into the ecosystem more English-speaking countries have gotten high interest in the chain recently based on different time frames.

For easy onboarding of users to stay abreast into the ecosystem on weekly trends and important data, this newsletter will be an essential hub where users can easily subscribe to and can decide to read this weekly news from their devices via email, or the SubStack application itself.

Learning goals

Remember that the main goal of this weekly newsletter is for the education of newly onboarded users and also users who are busy in real life and still want to keep in touch with the TON ecosystem happenings. With that here are the following things that will make up the components of this newsletter:

  1. Understanding of DeFi: So many users before having to know about TON struggled with understanding supply incentives such as staking, lending, borrowing, trading, and DeFi culture. Let's say that every week with an opportunity to stake for later returns, this newsletter will outline the opportunities and state the due process on how all of these can be done. Still protecting and stating the risk to which these readers can be exposed to (if there's any).

  2. Keeping Up with the Trends: Ton Community has an interview with REDO to promote the meme culture. This newsletter should be able to state key details about the interview and what will be of best interest to the users. A few weeks back at TOKEN2049, Pavel Durov stated the future possibility of tokenizing telegram stickers. The majority of users didn't get to hear about this. Our newsletter will outline and draw inferences on certain developments like this.

  3. Onchain Analysis/Performance:: Just like a vault, how did TON perform greatly or not so great in the past 7 days? This will be told and stated in the newsletter as I believe that amongst the group of readers, they'll be on-chain readers, others who just care about the fundamentals, and other types of users with different interests. For on-chain performance, this set of readers despite their busy lives will have a great chance to still stay updated on TON.

Other core details on ecosystem protocols, gaming and NFT will be shared as well in this newsletter.

References

Currently, there's no similar reference to this on TON, but here are some examples of SubStack newsletters that the format can be similar:

  1. By 0xJeff (CSO of Airpuff )
  2. A substack focusing more on Optimism - This is similar to what this newsletter will be like.

For Reference on region interest stated earlier here's a pictorial representation:
