Cannot detect fire hd 10 tablet #918

Hi. I am trying to add my fire hd 10 9th gen tablet to echo speaks. I have turned on the option to create tablet devices and tried closing out of the echo speaks app etc but nothing seems to work. Does this functionality still work? Thanks
