Updated - Not seeing Direct Connect Is Listening & Communication Established lines

I did the Update on my SmartThings account, published.

I ran "npm update homebridge -g" and after it did its thing the last line reads:

C:\Users\Scott Townsend\AppData\Roaming\npm -- homebridge@0.4.16` Not too hip on NPM, though I thought that should be v 0.5.2?

Then updated SmartThings, no output C:\Users\Scott Townsend\.homebridge>npm update homebridge-smartthing -g

Then Ran homebridge. This is the output. It looks like it didn't get updated?

I'm also not seeing the Direct Connect message after doing the upgrade. Homebridge 0.4.16 and homebridge-smarthings 0.4.7. Everything appears to be working although I have not banged hard on my SmartThings devices yet (I only have a few door sensors and geofence occupancy on SmartThings).

What device needs to communicate with my server running homebridge? The SmartThings hub (which is on the same network) or traffic from one of the external SmartThings application servers? Do I need to forward TCP on port 8000 to my homebridge server? I tried forwarding but it didn't change the result.

I was able to get mine going, though I still do not have the Direct Connect message. I ended up having to change the username in the config file and then re-adding homebridge to my HomeKit and re-assign all of my devices to the respective rooms. So I'm back up to where I was, though Still don't seem to have the Direct Connect message.

If you aren't seeing an attempt for Direct Connect and you have not set the update_method configuration option then you definitely have not updated homebridge-smartthings. On your update command above... you left the last s off. Could it be that easy?

i copied the update command out of the README so I double-checked it and the README is missing the "s" in the update command. i reran it and now I'm seeing the Direct Connect" message. Thanks!

Yeah I copied out of the read me too! (-; Thought it was odd that there was no output on the 'npm update homebridge-smartthing -g' command.

Its working now.
