Only CD32 or CDTV boot from the CD. (also some 3rd party SCSI controllers have CD boot option). Use Quickstart CD32 or CDTV option and then adjust it if needed.
Normal method (when using other models) is mountlist but UAE has "CDFS automount CD/DVD" option that does it automatically, just tick it and select CD image/drive letter. It also autoboots from CD if no other bootable devices are available.
btw, do not mount CDs or unpacked CD images as directory harddrive if CD is designed for Amigas, it will mess up protection flags, file names etc.
Jep, i know that only cd32 and cdtv have these features and only when the Chipset was set correctly. I can not load any CCD Image Files. It set CDFS automount CD/DVD, etc. When i try to boot an ISO File it works perfectly, also an Iso in an ZIP Archive too. No Problems. Only CCD Files are not working. When i try the CCD Files in Midwan's Amiberry i can boot CCD Images without any Problems. 2nd Problem is, when i boot a CD like CD32 or CDTV or an normally ISP with the option "Add PC drives..." and "Include removable drives" an with inserted CD Drive etc. the CD Overlay LED dows not work. It does not light up.
Also i found a little Bug or not?!? When you load a config...like A500 or something else...with Chipset was set as A500 and then you use the Quickstart Option for CD32 the Chipset was not set to CD32. When i press the Reset Button the A500 Config boots up. Same when i press the Restart Button after i select the Quickstart Option. It restarts, yes with CD32 selected, but when i press OK it boots up the A500 again. The Option Start in Quickstart mode is selected. Is the Quickstart option only for the first Start of Winuae?
Add removable drives adds them as read-only harddrives. "Add removable drives" is old option that can't be changed or too many old configs would break (for example it uses custom volume names). CDFS automount is a replacement but it has only existed for few years. "Add removable" has been there 10+ years.
I tried CCD image (DOTC 2) and it worked fine. Perhaps there are different variants or something.. Any links to non-working?
Did you click "Set configuration" in Quickstart panel? Config isn't set automatically (unless "start in qs mode" is ticked) and it is "one way" only. Setting chipset/cpu options won't change quickstart panel settings.
Hi. I dont understand what i must do to get the CDRom LED working. I tried to mount an ISO, also select Auto detect etc. I tried to create a CD32 with an inserted CD but the LED doesn't work. Also i try to boot an ccd Image. Winuae dont boot from ccd, only from the Image of the ccd file.
