Under gentoo it will be a problem, since ctrl+tab is used sometimes for
switching
desktops. For windows, that might be a good idea.

You can change the shortcut bidings can be modified if you want (just look at
the
menus, you will find)

Under Gentoo I'm using ctrl+tab to switching tabs but I don't know if it's
default
behavior...
I thought that logic for switching could be little bit different:
Default qdevelop shortcut (alt+arrow left/right) could switch to page on the
left/right.
But ctrl+tab should switch between last used tabs (as it is e.g. in MS Visual
Studio)

And it will be nice to have two shortcuts for all actions - main and
alternative...

Alt+{left, right} select the right/left tab on my setup. Working, closing, going
to
sleep soon :)

It's not defect, it's enhancement - correct. But why you closed this task when
nothing was fixed?
On your desktop it works, on my too, but it will be nice to have described
option (MSVS)
I need sometimes to switch to doc on the left/right and more often to swap last
two
files....

This is one of reasons why I'm using external editor. The next is that internal
editor is very unstable for me on both systems, but this is described in another
error report... :-)
