variable value of std::string

When displaying a standard string the value is shown at the end of a lot of
other information of no real interest.
Would it be possible to just display the value of the string and nothing
else in the same way that QString values are shown.
Perhaps an option that limits all variables in the list to show the value only.

Besides that QDevelop is just brilliant and has made programming with QT4 a
pleasure. thanks.
