Nowhere in the README it was written to create the data directory with write permission.

You should not have to create the data directory. It depends on your php configuration and your folder rights, but KrISS feed creates it automatically. You should have this error if there is an error: https://github.com/tontof/kriss_feed/blob/master/index.php#L8439
