Should I fork this repo or add my nginx config in my Ember app?

I'm using this buildpack and now I need to do some extra redirections. I would need to customize the nginx config.

I'm wondering what's recommended?

• fork this buildpack and add my own nginx config in https://github.com/tonycoco/heroku-buildpack-ember-cli/tree/master/config/nginx.d,
• add my own config inside my owner ember app my-ember-app/config/nginx.d (would it be picked up?)
