List and Flickr #18

Open mwpriddy opened 10 years ago

mwpriddy commented 10 years ago

Hey guys,

On my latest post, it seems the flickr information isn't working correctly. If you can let me know what I am doing wrong, that would be great. Also, it is pretty time consuming to parse that many values from the image links. Is there any way that can happen automatically if we copy the 2 necessary links into the YAML header?

Also, I have a list at the end of that post that doesn't want to work as intended. I am sure it is user error; if you can let me know how to fix it I will try not to make that mistake in the future.

Thanks!

Matt,

Where did you get that secret from? Can you refer me to the link?

Tony

Any idea where this post when? It seems to be missing now...

tonyfast commented 10 years ago

Yea where the hell is it. When was the last time you added something?

I added it on Friday afternoon and hadn't touched it since. It seems everything is missing that is newer than 5 days old. Hopefully we can get that stuff back?

tonyfast commented 10 years ago

What was the file name you used? Do you recall?

Plastic-Strain-Estimation.html, I think.

There was also the other newer post about converting Miller-Bravais Indices to an Orthonormal coordinate system. I don't see that one either. I don't remember the name of that one.

tonyfast commented 10 years ago

Yea I remember seeing that

I have no idea what is going on. I saw these recently.

So I screwed up this weekend sometime. I pushed an update that overwrote your files. I am trying to see if I can recover them.

Despite this, now is a good time that I show you have to manage your local and remote git repositories.

mwpriddy commented 10 years ago

Hopefully you can recover them. Or at least some of the source code. I know the pages are still stored in my browser cache on my work desktop. I just don't know how to access them from there.

@mwpriddy

Are these the right files I was searching for here and here

mwpriddy commented 10 years ago

I can't tell if they are the final versions, but they are definitely the posts that seem to be missing. If they are missing a few sentences, that isn't a big deal.

Thanks!

tonyfast commented 10 years ago

@mwpriddy @npaulson

Matt, I copied the latest versions of these files in the repository. Unfortunately, it took a bit too much effort to preserve the history so that has been lost. Disqus has been able to capture our previous comments though.

mwpriddy commented 10 years ago

Tony,

I am not worried about the history of the post, to be honest. It seems to be the latest version, which is all that matters.

Thanks for getting those back.
