Is there a way to receive notifications when a new post is made?

I'd prefer that we don't use notification services yet for new posts. That should be the responsibility of the author. What then post has matured sufficiently the other can send out a notification.

Notification

• Email is probably the most useful for of notification at the moment, it is pervasive and still provides control to the author.
• I am currently tryingout Blogtrottr.com.
• BEST - Github solution - when a post is ready to be shared you can @username in the commit message. All users who have their email linked with Github will get a notification. Similarly, we can use Disqus's referencing system to notify other Disqus users of modifications.
