Admist cannot find my .minecraft directory #1049

I play Minecraft on Linux, my game was installed via snap ; 'mc-launcher' and the .minecraft does exist with evryting in it, like a normal mc installation. I gave every permissions to Admist but it still wants me to "install minecraft".

Same problem here, running linux, got minecraft installed at ~/.local/share/multimc/instances/1.17.1 - Farbric - Homeland Live/.minecraft

Using the -mcpath arument will fix it. -mcpath <directory> : location of the '.minecraft' directory.

Works with mojang's minecraft launcher. ./amidst-v4-7.jar -mcpath /home/user/.var/app/com.mojang.Minecraft/.minecraft

How do I do that exactly?

This happens with the Amidst.app for macOS as well. It can't find the .minecraft folder even I use ~/.minecraft.

BUT i tried installing the default launcher and .minecraft is now in default directory. still not working. please help! i have tried several versions. i even tried to use the latest version on a WINDOWS pc and it wouldn't work- default launcher, default settings. do i have to download a 1.8 version of mc or something???
