Restoring Backup deletes Stat History #402

Open amazd7 opened 3 years ago

Hello, After restoring a most recent auto-backup file, the most four recent months of stats were deleted. The updated RV info was there. Now I updated some RV that I don’t want to lose. What should I do?

Thanks for your help.

Hello Shawn, I am sorry for the trouble. Restoring a backup entry will completely replace what you currently have with whatever that backup was. The one thing that might be useful for you is that MyTime creates a backup of the current data right before it restores another backup. you could restore to that backup (date and time you pressed the button to apply the past backup) and it should restore your previous months.

Now regarding the updated RV info: you will need to do the following prior to following the above information to restore a previous backup. you can:

  1. You can email yourself the RV you updated
  2. follow the backup restore as mentioned above
  3. go to your email and re-add the RVs from your email.
  4. you may end up with duplicated RVs from step #3 (dependent on what you changed), just delete the "old" ones which did not have the latest information.

I hope this helps

I just identified when this issue happens, it’s when I try restoring a backup from an iPhone to an iPad. Stats from previous four months disappear.

With appreciation,
