Email sometimes doesn’t send #414

When submitting time via email there are some times that the email doesn’t not trigger to send. Having an email sent confirmation would be a nice addition.

Thanks for sending in a suggestion. MyTime does not actually do rather email sending. It asks the Mail app to send emails for it. This is how all non-email apps on iOS work.

For privacy reasons MyTime does bot have access to:

  1. Your email address you are sending from
  2. The email account you are using
  3. Any of your past emails
  4. if the email sent or not

I simply can not accomplish your request because iOS prevents it for security reasons and I honestly would not like the liability of having access to your email account.

Please check the apple “Mail” app (not a third party email app) to see why your emails are not being sent. If it works from there then it should work from MyTime. If you use a third party email app then to have apps (like mytime) be able to send emails you will need to setup the apple mail application.

I hope this helps

I had that happen and it might be that your internet was not working at that moment or something similar. I found my my monthly time stuck in the Apple draft folder so you may wish to check there or be sure your BSO’s email address was not changed. Same thing happened with wife as we share same appleid. Be sure your phone is updated and that you reboot it on a weekly basis.
