Apartment Addresses in Australia have to have the house # and apartment # reversed #52

When Vewing the hours screen the dates are all in US format.
i.e. mm/dd/yy
In Australia we use the format dd/mm/yy.

Is it possible to use the region format from the international tab to set
the date format.

Here are a few feature requests:
Is it possible to change the hour entry process so that you can also enter
in bulk placements in the same screen. In the way I use the application
when I enter bulk placements I am not really interested in what magazine
was placed just that one was (same for books ect) this would simplify the
process significantly.

Is it possible to have a screen that you can enter your schedule for time
and be able to track this against actual hours (useful for pioneering)
Same goes for Monthly and Annual goals.

Is it possible that when you enter a magazine placement into a call that
you can prompt if the other magazine for the month was also placed, this
will simplify entering both magazines against a call or initial placement.

Thanks for the input, but...
the iphone does not support regional translations, I can fake it though and I
am trying to get information
from australia users, though the 3 I have asked have not replied to my question:

you use dd/mm/yy for date but what about addresses? is it 123 Name or Name 123?

All of your feature requests are covered by requests on the feature request
page
http://mytime.googlecode.com

This is not the place for feature requests, only bugs, there is a whole wiki
page page dedicated to requesting
features http://code.google.com/p/mytime/wiki/Wishlist

Thanks for the clarification on feature requests.

The addresses are as per the current formatting,

1/10 Bob Street, Melbourne Victoria, Australia.

The only comment I can add is that I have to swap the apartment number and
street
number to get the google map search to work properly.

Maybe you can assist the search by searching only on the house number no
appartment/unit number.

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
from your 1/10 Bob Street, are you saying that the "1" is the apartment and
"10" is
the building address if there is an apartment?

Sorry, I misunderstood the last statement, ignore my last email I will try to do
something with MyTime for australia.

I dont know if I could just assume that if you are not in the US then just use
the
dd/mm/yy format

also, if you use house number (apartment number) street name, then it will work
with
google maps.

Please look at the two links below:
the address is:unit 10 number 33 goodwood street richmond australia

How mytime currently requests:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=33+(10)
+goodwood+street+richmond+victoria+australia&sll=37.0625,-
95.677068&sspn=43.664131,92.8125&ie=UTF8&z=16&iwloc=A

The search that ends up in the right location:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=10+(33)
+goodwood+street+richmond+victoria+australia&sll=-
37.81969,144.992655&sspn=0.010679,0.022659&ie=UTF8&ll=-
37.819768,144.995971&spn=0.010679,0.022659&z=16&iwloc=A

Not sure if this is an australian thing but the mytime search ends up at the
wrong
end of the street.

could you please email (do not paste this in the bug report) the call to me? to
do
this, go to the call, click "edit" and then click the "action button" in the
top left
corner of the navigation screen, and select "email details" and send this to my
email
address toopriddy@gmail.com

That way I could see exactly what is going on. Just to make sure, the
building's
address is 33 right?

I am confused because in the address view, you have:
number apartment
street
city
state/country

and the field that is in "apartment" should be your "10"

so when you go to edit the address of your call you should see:

33 10
goodwood street
richmond
victoria australia

right?

detail.

so the test call you sent had different looking address information, it was
like:

10 33
goodwood street
richmond
victoria australia

and not
33 10
goodwood street
richmond
victoria australia

like you mentioned... It seems like there is something I am missing, but I
would say
that the information below is correct
10 33
goodwood street
richmond
victoria australia

where the house number is the address of the building 10 and the apartment
number is
the 33

is this correct? were the fields input backwards?

Original comment by toopri...@gmail.com on 28 May 2009 at 3:48

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The address is unit 10 of 33 goodwood street.

I put them in backwards so that google maps finds the right end of the street.

this looks like a problem where google is too smart... the workaround for
building#
(apartment#) is not working for your loale... I will have to figure out what to
do...

I dont know if this is still a problem and if my lack of working on this lost
you as a user.

Let me know if this is still a problem and if so please teach me about your
addressing nomenclature because "unit " and "number" do not mean anything to
me. I dont know which would be associated with house number and apartment.

sorry again for the lack of traffic on this issue
