Realistically if you're planning to shut a bot down, you should be removing it from the site. The site is meant for advertisement and getting your bot noticed.
The announcement feature allows you to do this, as well as the ability to put anything in your bot description as well as styling it.
I personally think this wouldn't be a very useful feature as quite simply put, if you've deprecated your bot, don't plan to maintain it or are going to shut it down you might as well de-list it.
Thats true but if there was even a small red banner saying "Bot depreciated" etc that could work. People don't always read announcements as they blend into the descriptions too.
I mean, technically you can do that youself by just putting it in your bot description and making it bold
That is very true. I'm gonna close this as its not an issue.
Suggestion
I think that we should have an option for marking a bot as depreciated/no longer maintained/schedule a shutdown date. This would help stop users from adding a bot and being disappointed that it isn't online/working.
