Summary : [Chrome] Not able to search with model number In the Ink & Tonner Finer page

Target URL: https://www.newegg.com/tools/ink-and-toner-finder?

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open the https://www.newegg.com/tools/ink-and-toner-finder?
  2. From first drop down category select printer
  3. Click Apply
  4. App display list of ink tonners
  5. Copy Model number from the displayed result
  6. Paste same in search with model search prompt
  7. Click Search
  8. Observe UI

Actual: Not able to search with model number In the Ink & Tonner Finer page

Expected: App should allow to search with model number In the Ink & Tonner Finer page

Not a bug. The placeholder says "Enter your device model". You're suppose to search for a printer, click an item from the result, then a list of compatible inks will be displayed for that printer. You could also see it in the filter options, you are filtering for a printer model.

@macs054 , can you provide model name of an item? so i can search

You could look for examples under the Model dropdown if you want an exact model name. You could also search with just product line or brand name such as HP or Deskjet.

@codejamtc , kindly take a look app says Enter your device model , from product page i took model and searched Kindly revalidate

@youdare an ink is not a device

it also says here in the page

I think we can't search Ink & Tonner by putting a correct printer model

eg: B210 - https://www.newegg.com/global/in-en/xerox-b210-dni/p/N82E16828116498?Item=N82E16828116498

But in the ticket reporter is putting an incorrect model number; you are putting a tonner model number

And then when you click B210, you can then see the compatible inks for that printer
