Installation via Recovery Image not working #4467

Device: BlackView BV9800 Pro Android version: 9.0 Magisk version name: f822ca5 Magisk version code: 23001

On my BV9800 Pro, an installation via the Installation.md guide fails. It shows: Installed: N/A A/B: No Ramdisk: No SAR: Yes

I used the ROM recovery-signed.img provided by BlackView in their forum post (European EEA version) from: https://bbs.blackview.hk/viewtopic.php?f=285&t=532354

The generation of the patched image worked with no errors.

Flashing was done via: $ fastboot flash recovery magisk_patched-23000_DWcBv.img

After rebooting via: $ fastboot reboot recovery Magisk doesn't recognize itself as installed (same status as above, before the flashing).

I also tried all of this several times, seeing no errors on my side. Maybe someone else has similar issues despite a different setup.
