I have the same problem, using a T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream) and
2.6.29.6-cyanogenmod (mod version 4.2.15.1)

For the repro steps, what exactly is "select station WAMU"? If I search for
WAMU and open the station view, clicking play will not do anything; I need to
choose a stream to play.

Do we want to be able to click play from a station page to start streaming? Do
we just choose to first stream?

If, on the other hand, this is happening when selecting the stream from the
WAMU page I think this is particular to some devices/OS/network combinations,
as I know a lot of NPR users are able to stream it. (I have no problem on Nexus
One, Android 2.3.4 or G1 Android 1.6). If there are particular clients that
fail, perhaps we can check the GA statistics to see which ones it fails for.

As for cyanogenmod, last I looked they had no supported emulator builds which
makes it very, very hard to test for that platform.

Once I choose a station from my favorites, it lists the streams and podcasts.
If I choose a stream, the only one that works is the 24 bluegrass one. Which is
cool, but how long can you listen to bluegrass?

I want the live station feed (WAMU 88.5 (HD 88.5-1)), but if I choose that the
play bar at the bottom eventually says "no stories to play"

I'm a DroidX on Android 2.2.1
baseband: BP_C_01.09.07P

At Google i/o last week, I spoke to several people around the complicating
factors of 1) the fractured support for various streaming codecs within the
Android ecosystem and 2) the confederacy of streaming protocols offered by
various stations within the NPR network. This is a larger issue than just our
app.

That being said, this seems to suggest a separate thread around how to handle
streaming errors. Perhaps, we can check to see if a stream is successfully
playing and then give some notification that it is or isn't working?
