The app was working fine on my Galaxy 10.1 tablet but now seems to be locked
into portrait mode - which I hate! PLEASE let it operate in landscape mode
again!

Is it possible to keep the non-honeycomb devices (ie phones) locked in
portrait, but allow tablets to do both?

Wow! This issue is almost 1 year old and still unresolved. Let it be known that
the NPR Android app is indeed still locked in portrait mode on the XOOM.
Motorola now sells XOOM's bundled with a docking station which demands all apps
to support landscape mode.

We've cracked this open and are working on a more tablet friendly visual
design. At the moment, we are targeting 7 inch tablets. These devices are
typically held in portrait more often than landscape. We will see if we can get
the tablet layout to work in landscape, too.

"At the moment, we are targeting 7 inch tablets." Narrow it down even
further: 7 inch wooden tablets, no processor, no battery, no display, just
wheels for the kiddies to roll it around with.
Most Android and iPad tablets are bigger than 7 inches. And many many of
them come with docking stations for use in Landscape mode.
With any luck maybe this time next year you will begin to do something
about your lousy app just before everyone quits buying them because who
wants a laptop without a keyboard. Jobs was an idiot.

2.4 release improved support for a wider range of devices. Will break out
future tablet enhancements into seperate issues.
