What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.create a string
2.use alt+j as hotkeys
3.set the string as <left>

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
when I am typing in gedit, cursor should move left if I press alt+j, but
nothing happens.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
latest version of autokey. linux mint 12

Please provide any additional information below.
I also tried to use a script by keyboard.send_keys, but it did not work either.
