SMS for "SAT Homework due in Class 4" might not have gotten sent #26

I occasionally check the Twilio and Mandrill logs to make sure it sends everything that is in the pipeline from TS. I noticed that the logs didn't include today's 2pm SMS messages for Alec's homework task (http://ts.topscholars.org/tasks/dnAJpZgN28arNoNem)

I created my own tasks to test the SMS system, and it appears to send just fine. Can someone check if the SMS messages were ever sent and received?

Let’s check. Teachers aren’t supposed to SMS homework. I will notify them about that.

As far as them not receiving, let me ask. Will take a week to verify - as the kids don’t come in until next Saturday.

The other scheduled SMS messages today also do not show up in the Twilio logs. I suspect that something is wrong. Will keep monitoring.

Ok - we can check with students. Are these the only two cases? Do normal class reminder SMS go out ok?

Sorry for the late reply on this one. I've been busy building the reservation system. According to the Twilio logs, the last SMS messages that got sent were on Dec 12, 18:30. After that, nothing went out except for a few small tests I ran. I will run some bigger tests to figure this out.

Ok - that’s ok. I think if we can fix this by Thursday should be fine. Notifications are set to go out Friday for classes - so have some time.

The 10 am notifications for Friday (today) did not get sent for SAT Preparation Class 4 or Ad Lit Class 3, except for Ekanat Yu Limkunatham, Supatra Limkunatham, and Patara Limkunatham. I suspect that there is a problem with the bulk-uploaded tasks, and that these 3 folks were added after the bulk upload. When I click "Edit" on Ad Lit Class 3, change the time to 11:41 am and clicked "Save", the SMS messages went out just fine. As a temporary fix, is it okay if I do this for all the other tasks with SMS messages to go out today?

In the meantime, I will examine the Excel files used to input the bulk-upload fields, as the problem may well lie in the character encoding used.
