Does Description autopopulate to a reminder? How to enable/disable? #46

We're going to test using description for both external reminders and internal notes. Internal notes we would not want sent.

Is there a way to toggle this option for the auto-reminder currently? Our event Parent Night sent out an auto-reminder with the description included 24 or 48 hours in advance - but I don't recall setting that. Curious if this is happening for other things?

Currently the description data for each Task is inserted into its corresponding Google Calendar Event's description field, which does auto-populate a message based on Google Calendar Settings. We can disable Google Calendar's auto-reminder setting or just not populate the description field on Google Calendar Events.

Other than the above, the Task description field doesn't currently do anything. If there is unexpected behavior, can you forward me some sort of example of the problem, e.g. email, screenshot, etc?

Ok. Interesting.

We need a place to record private notes associated with a task for sales. So obviously don't want these to go out publicly.

I know we will add a note field down the road but good temporary solution?

I'm currently working on the prerequisite task feature. I can add a "staff notes" field for the purposes under discussion here and include it with the next production push. If I get some help with testing on TS2, it can all roll out by this weekend.

If it cannot wait until then, how about creating a task with the same name with "+notes"?

oh, hmm. we have other issues actually with the population to Google Calendar with no filter beyond description. might be a larger issue than anticipated. let’s chat through it.

Is this issue resolved with the new enable visibility checkbox? If not, please clarify the concerns not addressed.

joshuarusso commented 9 years ago

I believe this was related to the auto reminder I was getting which seems to be an Exchange issue. Haven't seen anyone else get this. Which is strange - let's hold until I can find out where this is coming from.

This seems to be an issue isolated to my account - so all signs points to internal server issues. Will close for now.
