New aspell not working on W32 #177

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
(What steps will reproduce the problem?)
1. copied the 2 aspell-60 dll in the Psi+ folder
2. Installed Psi+ v 0.14.1292

(What is the expected output?
What do you see instead?)

The "check spelling"option in Options-Misc is greyed out, while it was
working with previous version of Psi+ and aspell.

(What version of the product are you using?
On what operating system?)
Psi+ v 0.14.1292
aspell-0.60
Win XP SP3

(Please provide any additional information below.)

I have a aspell directory in the Psi folder with the dictionaries I used
when aspell was working.
I was starting Psi+ with this .bat file:

set lang=fr-FR
start psi.exe

Well, I'm using french dictionaries, so your solution didn't work.
Check spelling still greyed out.

666.laurent, plese test it:
- delete folder aspell from psi folder
- unpack folder aspell from http://psi-dev.googlecode.com/files/aspell6-fr.zip
to psi
folder
- start psi without set lang=fr-FR

It's working perfectly.
Thanks a lot!

By the way, what are the pros to upgrade aspell version?
