Is this still working out with the current releases of Nanobox or will it be superseded by their multi-app per server work that's not yet finished due to their rework?

Sorry for the incredibly late response, just now noticed your issue. To be honest I have no idea, I've moved away from Nanobox since a long time. If I find the time this week I'll do some tests.

Thanks @kristoftorfs that's great. Have you moved to something comparable or superior? Nanobox is really slick, but the inability to do this and to integrate with cPanel makes life challenging given our customers' wants...

For local development I use ddev, and for deployment I use Laravel Forge. I really liked Nanobox, but I was paying (quite a lot) for support and they didn't deliver at all.

About the integration with cPanel, I'm afraid you won't find anything like Nanobox for that and will have to resort to separate tools like Deployer or Laravel Envoyer.
