Fix searching for fqdn when not called from the command line with mcollective Refacter to move searching logic into functions Add search for smartvars Add required configuration options Document configuration

Just wanted to give you an update - this all looks pretty straightforward, but I'm going to take the evening and play around with it a bit to make sure I've wrapped my head around it. Should be merged by the end of the weekend (though potentially after a few suggestions).
