Hello toshmatik,

I reviewed your guide against above version of Clover Configurator. This version is in some ways different and guide needs some changes because of these differences.

The SMBIOS section in §3.1 does not have a "Magic Wand" any more. Instead there is a button for a drop-down list in the same place. You can choose MacPro6,1 from this list.

The result is that data are generated in the SMBIOS section itself, not in a separate screen in the foreground. There are no Shake buttons, instead you can use a generate button for the Serial Number.

The hardware description in the upper left corner of the screenshot does not show in the new Clover Configurator version. but you can the description from the screenshot, Mac Pro 6,1 - Intel Xeon (Ivy Bridge-EP), for hw.model in the .vmx file. You can collect the 2 necessary IDs/numbers from the SMBIOS section.

In the Rt Variables section, §3.3, do not paste the last 12 (Hex) values from the generated SmUUID to the ROM field. Instead push the generate button for ROM and the necessary numbers for ROM and MLB wil appear.

Result to expect: iMessage does not work, iCloud starts working

You don’t need Clover Configurator to do anything other than generate those MLB, ROM etc. values. So just use the older Clover Configurator version.

But i’ll take a look once i have some more time.

I followed the tutorial on macOS 10.14.6 Mojave running on VMware Workstation 15.0.1 and got iMessage to work. I used the latest version of clover from the link you provided, but chose the MacBookPro6,1 with Intel Core i5-540M from Mid 2010 on the drop down list instead of the one from 2013 you said to use. Then I followed your instructions until the ROM + MLB section. The version of clover I am using does not have a "Calculate" button in Rt Variables. So instead I used a program called MacInfoPkg by acidanthera to generate the MLB value using the previously generated serial number. Then I put the MLB and ROM in the .vmx file as instructed and iMessage started working. It took a minute to log in the first time but now sends messages fine. Thank you so much for the tutorial!
