flashing icons when using xcompmgr

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run xcompmgr as the composite manager
2. Run avant-window-navigator
3. Move the mouse in a area where the awn bar is horizontally speaking but
not vertically (on the left or right of the bar)

What is the expected output?
Bar quiet.

What do you see instead?
The icons start flashing without stopping.
If I move the mouse on top of the bar the icons stop flashing and work as
expected.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SVN, Ubuntu Feisty

I use xcompmgr as my composite manager because I don't find beryl and/or
compiz mature enough to use on a daily basis.
I don't know if the problem is related with AWN or with xcompmgr. If it's
not AWN, I think it would be nice to talk to the xcompmgr guys to solve the
problem between the 2 teams.

By the way, good job with AWN!
