high CPU load when bar is hidden #298

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install awn, enable auto-hide
2. reboot, open awn
3. let awn hide

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
when awn hided, the cpu load rised to around 50% on my laptop. when i move
my mouse down and let awn appear, the cpu load falled back to normal level
(<5%)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
awn: 0.1.2-svn227? (changelog up to 20070715)
env:
ubuntu feisty + compiz on n410c laptop (p3 1.2 / 512m / radeon m6)

i've the same issue, ubuntu feisty + compiz (centrino duo / 1Gb / geforce go 
7400)

X process CPU load was affected by hide and unhide the bar
