Teaman,
I apologize if this is not the correct place for this comment, but would you
consider a new Tomato feature that is similar to D-Link's Internet Whitelist
(or Blacklist):
http://support.dlink.com/emulators/dir655/133NA/Web_Filter.html
The above link is used in conjunction with the following link to establish
rules for selected MACs/IPs (similar to the Blacklist only feature in Tomato):
http://support.dlink.com/emulators/dir655/133NA/Access_Control.html
When "Block Some Access" is selected then one can check "Apply Web Filter". It
seems to me that this feature would be in high demand to promote better focus
in a workplace environment. I use it all the time, here, turning the feature
off as needed to allow occasional unlimited access (leaving OpenDNS to do the
rest).
Even better than D-Link's interface would be multiple Whitelists that could be
associated with different users.
I have reviewed the available firewall scripts but still find them a little
challenging to implement.
Teaman, I figure that since you pioneered that VLAN GUI, that this feature
might be something you might consider.
Thanks, and sorry if this message is out of place. John
