Unable to disable virtual wireless interface #3

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add a virtual wireless interface in the GUI
2. Try to disable or delete it in the GUI
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect it to either be disabled or deleted.
It shows "The field "wl_auth" is invalid. Please report this problem." instead

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Tomato Firmware v1.28.7495 MIPSR2-Toastman-VLAN-RT-BETA K26 MiniIPv6

Please provide any additional information below.

I'm not sure if this bug should be reported here, but from what I know, you are
the author of the virtual wireless interface gui!

I will provide any nvram value or config information upon request.

It seems to happen only when wl0.2 is set to use no security. When I set it to
WPA2, it works as expected.

Also, after setting wl0.2 to WPA2 for the first time, then disabling the
security, it works as expected. I suppose a value is missing from the nvram.

I attach the 'nvram find wl0.2' effective when the issue arise (no security on
freshly created wl0.2).

It also seems that I am unable to connect to wl0.2 when security is disabled,
but that might be unrelated.

There's been reports about the Advanced -> Virtual Wireless page reporting
errors when there's WEP involved, which /could/ indicate there are problems
with anything (or any virtual/guest wireless interfaces) not configured with
any kind of WPAx encryption (i.e. anything 'open' and/or secured with 'WEP').

Still... such thing obviously needs some kind of 'confirmation' and/or at
least, further investigation...
