Update minimum dependencies to remove some existing error and to start migrating other dependencies to its newer versions.

I started poking around this last week. I think I'm going to remove the firebase part entirely. That was just for sponsor display.

Im sorry about this PR. I accidentally created this here instead of my Fork. Just trying to update the project, play around and make it work. Hope I could do an actual contribution sometime.
