The current language on the website in the red box states: "Based on the recommendations from health experts, we strongly encourage all lawmakers to suspend in-person town halls and any other public gatherings. We encourage all Americans to avoid large group gatherings at this time. We will track and highlight as many telephone and virtual meetings as possible."
We'd like to update this to: "As vaccination rates increase nationally, in person events are becoming more common. We encourage lawmakers and constituents to follow CDC guidance and local guidelines (taking into account vaccination rates and case numbers in your area) when planning or attending town halls."
