Adding a new mechanic causes harm when you have enough grief, or you can trigger it yourself through keybindings depending on whether you have the correct weapon.

Grief possibly causes you to snap and lose control of your character and send them hurdling off a ledge if high enough.
Grief can cause you to pull your gun/sharp and hurt yourself.
