ISOs with the extension .bin will not load. #1

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Put some isos on and SD Card (under "games")

2. Load up PCSX-revolution

3. Select a game (in bin format) and wait for the initialization
process(es)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Though I don't expect super-high compatibility at
this point, there should be some games that at least
go in game (like Crash Bandicoot 2 and Breath of Fire
3).  But during the CD init. process, the emulator
hang and requires the system to be reset (hard reboot)
I made sure that the .cue files were included with
the images as well. 

What version of the product are you using?
Revision 18 (wii)

Again, props to those who programmed this potentially
awesome emulator, but I want to be able to at least
run one or two games.

I've had no problems playing .bin files. Tatsunoko Fight (ntsc j), Xmen Vs 
Street
Fighter (pal) and R-tpyeDelta (ntsc u)all boot fine in bin format (and the fps 
ranges
from 48fps in menus to about 29fps in-game). The only times its crashed on me 
is when
I come out of a game and go to load another. 

Well impressed with compatibility with this already! Good work!

I don't know? Maybe re-rip you psx game (to iso or maybe bin and cue) and try 
that?

I wish there is support to ORIGINAL CD. And DVD, I have so many .bin games safe 
in 
DVDs (10 games in 1 DVD) :D

I have no problems with CD-images too. Just to be sure, try to load it with one 
of PC
emulators (pcsx, ePSXe, pSX).

Do they have to be .bin or .img format? I'm not really clear on that...

My images are in bin format.  I can't get any of them to be recognized.

After you boot it up and you select the source, are you supposed to be able to 
see 
the 
images?  Because all I see is "dir ..".  My images are in the games folder.  
Everything is set up like the instructions say.  I even tried to search through 
the 
directories in the sd card and it still won't recognize the images.

Then, when I try to start it says it was unable to load the image.

It appears that there must be a space in the file name.  I tried with an image 
called
"spf2.bin" and it did not see it in the dir.  I then renamed it to "spf2 
test.bin"
and it could see the image.

confirmed.  I changed my images so the names included a space and it still 
didn't 
work.  But then I changed all the characters to lower case and then it worked.

I don't have time to debug tonight, but these are the names and which ones 
worked:

FFVIII1.BIN  (didn't work)
FF VIII1.BIN (didn't work)
image test.bin (worked)

I'll try more tomorrow to confirm lowercase & space.

Now i get it. =)
The problem is in extention. It must be in lowercase.
Will fix that in next rev.

Strange I tried lowercase .bin with no spaces and it did not see it.  Must be 
with
the combo of spaces and case.

Alright firnis@ya.ru, it's two things: The extension has to be lowercase AND 
there 
has to be a space in the filename.

These worked:
image a.bin
IMAGE B.bin

These didn't:
image.bin
image c.BIN
IMAGEA.bin
imageb.BIN

Strange... I tested it right now and all working well...

Worked:
image.bin
CB2.bin
IMG.img

so you had ones that didn't have spaces that did work.  My "IMAGEA.bin" and 
"image.bin" 
should have worked.  Did you test with a later version than r18?

can anyone get Capcom vs SNK to work?  I've tried every variation of changing 
the
.bin name to no avail.  Also, what does SMB stand for when choosing how to load 
games?
