Webcam not on localhost? #6

Can we use a webcam capture server not running on the localhost. I prefer to work on my daily driver Macintosh, while allowing comfyUI to run on Linux machine. If I could select a webcam via IP:port this would be a very nice workflow. Just curious before I go too far down the rabbit hole if this would work. ~Thank you!

Just a thought and I know nothing about coding...

It's been implemented that way here. Might be an easy copy and paste?
