Hash testrig could use a (much) faster CPU-side comparison #88

CPU-side accuracy testing (comparison of hash results) takes almost all of the 
time for the hash table testrig. Dan indicates that it was written to be simple 
and not to be fast. Low priority, but it would be nice to get a faster CPU-side 
test in the future. Good project for an interested undergrad, for instance.
