surprised that csv is rejected (and even more surprised that xls is accepted - it is usually the other way round). github takes zip files though, but I am not sure if it scans a zip file's content.
it is likely to bit-rot if included, so I think it is probably best to have a wikipedia URL included somewhere (and hope that the page does not get renamed / moved /edited too much).
@HinTak Point taken about bit-rot, but you need three wikipedia URLs to assemble the information in my file.
For those of use who are not native Mac guys it can be confusing to navigate the three sets of Mac version numbers: OS version, Xcode version and Darwin version. All the required info is on Wikipedia but it's not collated. So I made a little version reckoner as a CSV file (attached as xls, since CSV is not accepted mac_versioning.xls ). I don't know if it would be worth adding to osxcross, but if so you're welcome to use it.
