saroo questions #176

I see a release that contained the 3 main files. Looks like the main boot loader and executable Is there a firmware update process? Firmware like as in a chip? I see other forks that use an update folder, this fork does not talk about the update folder or the two files that go in it? Why do the menu items do nothing? One option I saw (5) a serial mode option but did nothing. If it is ok to ask, can saroo load copied disc games? My action replay can play a copied disc but Saroo just freezes. Is it safe to say this is the best repo? I always hated forks, why not just all work together? Is there any way to know what firmware I have ( hardware wise) and can I update it? Someone said "check if cartridge came with FPGA:05 and MCU:231125 or later. " but how?

  1. Start from FirmV0.3, firm files are placed on SDcard. No flash update needed. If you have a card with old firm(23xxxx), please update to firm v0.3 first.
  2. Other forks have some extra feature. But that is included by SAROO now.
  3. The copied disc is not support now.
  4. How to know the version? When SAROO start into main menu, the bottom of screen will show them.
