I bought a Saroo recently off AliExpress and it came with a micro SD card with preloaded games. It worked perfectly for about a week or two then the card randomly got corrupted and erased all the games. Word on the internet is the sd cards that come with the Saroo are poor quality and that I should by one from a reputable brand. So I did that, I bought a Samsung Evo Select 128gb, went to tpunix github and downloaded the latest firmware V6, created the root folder as SAROO, dragged all the files to where they are supposed to be, added a few games to test it out but when I insert the sd card into the Saroo and turn on the sega saturn, the right red light blinks and it boots to the sega saturn CD player screen. When I insert the old corrupted sd card the Saroo boots normally (minus being able to store games)

How do I get the Saroo to boot with the new SD card? do I need to update the firmware via the older sd card first for it recognise the card?

After starting the entire process fresh from the beginning my Saroo is working properly with the latest firmware update. I love this thing!

@OllieDodge86 I'm experiencing the same symptoms, could you please elaborate on how you solved it?

Sorry for the delayed response! What ended up working for me was starting from the very beginning and downloading the same version of the firmware that originally came with the card that came with my Saroo. I think it was version 5 but I can't remember. I set up version 5 with the proper file structure (SAROO being the root folder) then tested it to see if it would boot up. sure enough it did, so once that was working I updated it to version 6 simply by dragging the file I got from the firm_v0.6 zip file I downloaded from Tpunix github page (https://github.com/tpunix/SAROO) Once I saw that the saturn was recognizing the Saroo I added games to start testing and it was working great! Sorry if the way I wrote this is hard to understand, I'm a total newbie to this stuff. Feel free to keep asking questions if this response doesn't help!
