Failed tests

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Get current version from svn (108)
2. Run autotools, configure and make
3. Run make check

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
All tests should pass, but 3 tests fail.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

os: Linux nirs 2.6.24-21-generic #1 SMP Mon Aug 25 17:32:09 UTC 2008 i686
GNU/Linux
product: svn revision 108

Barring stderr logs, this appears the duplicate of issue 9. Marking as such.
