Can´t connect traccar client on android. #176

Cheers,

the reason why I write on this platform is because I have a drawback with traccar client for android, the point is that we assign the IP address of the computer that hosts the server and port as well, but does not mark the position of device. I appreciate help me.

Are you sure the port is visible from internet? You can check here: https://www.traccar.org/port-check/

anton, i created a new rule on the firewall for open the port 5055 on my computer but still showong port is closed. what can i do ?

Are you sure your ISP provide you with public IP address?

the ip must be public ? what if is private ?

If it's private, it means it's technically impossible for the Traccar Client app to connect to it.

but exists any possibility to make the app works?

As I said, if you don't have a public IP address, it's not possible to host your own server.
