Issue with Mozilla multi-account container extension #128

Open FrancescoFaenzi opened 4 years ago

Doesn't work with Firefox Multi-Account Containers rel. 7.10 When I use the T.E. extension in my Facebook-specific container it keeps saying "you're not logged in, please log in to see stuff in the extension". Of course I'm logged in FB when I'm in my FB-specific container. I'm NOT logged in other containers of course.

dear @ff72, thanks for the report.

The extension was working in the condition you describe (#99 is still open also because the [a] collection was happening, [b] the opt-in popup appear, but [c] the popup wasn't display correctly the status). so I confirm the bug.

Currently there are two problems blocking that patch:

  1. I can't maintain the new extension with easy; there is a technological debt I still have to pay. This slow down every release.
  2. Still must be fixed the metadata extraction, that breaks since Facebook switch in the new UX (that was a major change in their frontend).

If everything goes as it should, this would be fixed in mid November; Maybe the popup would be less descriptive to overcame c. Spotting if/which user is logged was demanded by #98.
