needs to show error messages #4

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. close the wifi connection and start the gprs connection
2. start ventura and wait for the default start page www.google.com

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I see a "10%" in the lower left corner, then the "Menu" and a blank page

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

latest ventura on latest SHR-unstable (Feb 13, 2010)

Please provide any additional information below.

Incidentally, I think this is not only when a GPRS connection is in place.
Every time a page can't be loaded, I get
this behavior. For example, I get it all the time when trying to access
"https://www.paypal.com".

I think Ventura needs to handle webkit errors.

Forget this one. pppd fooled me with his thoughts about where to place
resolv.conf.
So it works with a GPRS connection, even when it's slow.

gprs connection isn't a problem.
