Iterate on new hover styling #141

Creating a new issue to track feedback/ideas on how we can further improve the hover styling. I think the new styling is a major improvement, but also think we may be able to tweak a few things to make it work even better.

I actually think how this is being done in the latest iteration (making the feature that's being hovered over "wider") is fine for now. Closing.
