Windows Client Automatic Installation not responding #1016

Summary of the problem

Found this gitter today after following https://www.pcworld.com/article/3251785/security/how-to-set-up-and-run-your-own-vpn-server-on-windows.html

When I attempt to use the automatic installation command in PowerShell, I see "Running Script / Selection. Press Ctrl + Break to stop" but nothing happens. I gave it several attempts and let it run for 4 hours last night.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Open PowerShell as Admin
  2. Run the following command: powershell -ExecutionPolicy ByPass -File C:\path\to\windows_USER.ps1 -Add
  3. Notice running script in PowerShell. IP address unchanged, no algo network connection available.

So, you need to provide the logs of this command

PowerShell and Linux newb here, just following the "How to" on PCWorld.com as best I can. Spent most of yesterday working on this and now I'm feeling stubborn. If you have the time to explain the steps, I would be tremendously grateful.
